—-
Consists of Portfolio with Cover and Ribbon and 18 Prints
Description:
This auction is for a WW1 Austro-Hungarian Original War Welfare Fund Portfolio by Ernst Kutzer – 18 Prints.
After WW1, Ernst Kutzer went on to illustrate children’s books that contained many
National Socialist (you know) stereotypes, during the Third Reich Era.
The 18 prints in this portfolio illustrate the sequence of the war from the beginning to
the end.
They are absolutely beautiful. Created to raise funds for victims of the war and war wounded. I picked it up many, many years ago and is very fine
condition. I have seen single prints sell over the years, but never a
complete portfolio. A very interesting series viewed from the Austrian side.
Portfolio and Print Sizes are ~12.5″ x 9.25″s.
